It's that time of the year again! For the third year, Fernie Distillers is creating a delicious Forager Saskatoon Liqueur with berries collected by Elk River Alliance (ERA) volunteers, with a portion of sales going to the ERA!

They're hosting a berry picking event next Tuesday (July 25th) from 5-8 PM, and meeting at the Disc Golf course in James White. If you feel like going out on your own, that's great!

Get ready for a gravity-filled, energetic weekend of downhill racing, with Fernie's own Joy Attalla challenging the iconic course off the Timber Chair. Fernie Alpine Resort is proud to partner with SE Racing, Cycling Canada, and Cycling BC to welcome back the Fernie Dunbar Summer Series Canadian Nationals DH Championships. Fernie is the first of 4 stops on the Dunbar Summer Race series – the best downhill mountain bike series in Western Canada!

Start at 6pm, registration from 5:45pm.

Fun racing for younger/less proficient kids, balance bikes included. Short loops with multiple times round in a given time (30 mins ish). Maybe some skills sections within the loops, or separate (teeter totter, skinny plank, chicane, log bump over etc) Kids Must Be FMBC members.

Everyone’s favourite weekly bike race series is back for 2023 – The Scott Downhill Race Series presented by Legends Mountain Eatery! Come out each week for a fun, gravity-fed downhill race followed by prizing, results, and a beverage at Legends Mountain Eatery.

The races will run similar to last summer with Kids & Youth (ages 8-17) racing on Wednesday Afternoons at 4:30 pm and Adults & Masters (ages 18+) racing on Thursdays at 6:30 pm.
