STUBBS AND THEY are coming to The Knox!

If you caught these guys at Fun Field Festival this summer, you already know why we had to get them back.

STUBBS AND THE absolutely killed it at Fun Field. They are ridiculously fun to watch, completely unpredictable and one of those bands where trying to explain what genre they are is pretty much pointless.

Hailing from Rossland, this five-piece BAND describe themselves as a multi-genre theatrical musical experience — and that's exactly what you get. They sing in more than 10 languages, jump between musical styles, move from head-banging to ballroom dancing and somehow turn the whole thing into one big, weird, hilarious, joyful performance.

This isn't just a concert. It's an experience.

And opening the night they've got Damien Alblas, a Kootenay-based psychedelic alt-rock artist bringing his own dose of theatrical energy to the stage. With new music out this year and a summer of shows around BC and the Yukon behind him, he's a pretty damn good fit for this particular night of musical madness.

Local Author Event with Anne Majic

Fix Featured Event
When: Sun, Oct 25 2026, 7 - 9pm

When Anne Majic’s husband dies suddenly, her world changes in an instant. Overwhelmed by grief, she wonders how she’ll navigate life alone. Yet in the midst of the darkness, Anne is visited by “earthly angels” who bring many gifts—acts of kindness, practical help, and emotional support.

Join us on Saturday October 25th at 7:00pm as Bookshop owner Meanie Jeannotte interview's author Anne Majic about her debut memoir, about community and hope. This is a free event, RSVP requested. Please RSVP here. Cash Bar and refreshments.

About the Book:

Losing George: Stories of Grief and Coming Together, tells the tales of the friends, family, and even acquaintances who stepped in to carry her through her painful loss. From cleaning her home and organizing her finances to sharing coffee, these angels bring light to the darkest corners of her grief. The stories of their compassion and service are inspirational, and they remind us that even in the smallest gestures, we can find great healing in the face of the raw emotions that accompany the death of a loved one.

More than a personal story of loss, this book is a testimony to community and hope. It invites readers to consider how they can come alongside someone in pain and make a difference in their lives. Losing George reminds us all that even in the pit of grief and sadness, light can shine through and lead us into a new day.
