Looking for a fun way to kick off the weekend? Try your hand at throwing clay on the wheel while enjoying a glass of wine to spark your creativity and unwind. Beer, cider, and non-alcoholic beverages are also available.

About the Event: Wine and Wheel is a casual, introduction-to-pottery event perfect for anyone looking to explore clay or enjoy a creative evening out. The price includes clay, tools, and one beverage of your choice.

• This workshop is experience-focused, not about the finished product. One finished piece will be completed by our pottery technician, which can take up to 6 weeks. You will be emailed when your piece is ready for collection. Pieces will be held for 30 days from the email notification.
• Participants will share a wheel with a fellow attendee.
• Accessibility Note: This workshop takes place in their downstairs studios, accessed by steep stairs.

A minimum of 3 guests are required for the tour to run - singles and couples are welcome to call to be added to the waitlist, and will be advised if the tour is going ahead when more bookings are made.

SHINE Afterschool is a creative arts program for children that takes place on Mondays after school until 5:30pm at the Fernie Arts Station Theatre. 

Program fee: $220 per student per term.

Theatre Collective is a relaxed, welcoming space for adults to get together, play, experiment, and connect through the performing arts! Each session will feature improv exercises, theatre games and plenty of opportunities to have fun and get out of your comfort zone. Whether you are a seasoned performer or simply curious about trying something new, all experience levels are welcome. The emphasis is on play, collaboration, building confidence, and learning through doing... not formal instruction or performance pressure.

Join the Fernie Pride Society, Elk Valley Suicide Task Force, Elk Valley Hospice, and the Nell Smith Memorial Fund for a special screening of Come See Me in the Good Light on Monday, October 19 at 7:00 PM at The Arts Station. This moving and deeply human film explores love, grief, resilience, and connection through moments of vulnerability and hope. Everyone is welcome for an evening of community.

The Fernie Fibre Guild meet on the third Monday of the month from 10am-3pm in the upstairs studios at the Fernie Arts Station. They usually create until 1pm, followed by a business meeting and show and tell. Periodically, they hold workshops of longer duration.

They work in all areas of fibre arts. These include, but are not limited to; spinning, weaving, dyeing, felting, knitting, crocheting, rug hooking.

The Fernie Visual Artist Guild was established on March 23, 1953. The club wanted to encourage an exploration of the arts. A group of like-minded individuals pursuing their passion and helping one another.

A social group of local artists who have a passion for all things clay! Offering members only workshops and events. They are a recognized user group at The Arts Station but operate independently.

Melbourne Blues artist Lloyd Spiegel has been touring the globe for 30 of his 40 years. The 14 time Australian Blues Award Winner has one of the most interesting stories in music, having grown up on stage, learning from and touring with the founding fathers of modern Blues. Spiegel’s guitar wizardry, powerful lyrics and knack for humorous story telling delivers a truly unique performance that reinvents the genre and dispels the cliches associated with the Blues.

Join the Fernie Heritage Library and Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy for Storytime Wednesdays from 11:15am – 12pm.

This is a drop in program hosted by Miss Laura with songs, stories, and fun activities for caregivers and their littles. Caregiver must be a FHL library cardholder.

Please note during the warmer months this program is held in the library garden. Once temperatures drop they move inside to the Storytime room where the first 8 families to arrive are permitted to attend.
