Kentucky Yuletide Concert

Event Date(s):
Sunday, December 10, 2023

Join the Fernie Arts Station for a matinee performance of Kentucky Eileen's holiday show Kentucky Yuletide.

Kentucky Yuletide is a feature-length performance of story and song throughout the holiday season. It is a show that touches on themes of connection, of nostalgia, and of love and care for one another. We include original holiday & winter songs, as well as our own folk music, and of course some holiday classics throughout the show. It is a mostly non-denominational show, though much of our stories come from our own lives celebrating Christmas.

Kentucky Eileen
Kentucky Eileen is your new favourite folk quartet - they’re those sudden friends that you feel like you’ve known all your life. Born out of the orchards of the Okanagan and laser-focused on their Nashville-style sound, they bring a modern Canadian flavour to American folk music. These boys pack smiles for miles and deliver you meaningful tunes, hand-written and packaged just how you like ‘em.

Support Act: Bex
Based out of Kelowna, Canada, Bex writes Alternative Indie-Folk songs with introspective heart, spirited soul and stirring lyric. Her live stage presence and technique is a synthesis of powerful tenderness. In expression of her unique and captivating singer-songwriter style, Bex often flows between genres, making her live performance eclectic, intriguingly elusive and delightfully unpredictable. Imagine Joni inspired folk-noir. Bex has warmed up the stage for Polaris Prize and Juno nominated Danny Michel and as well as The Pack A.D.

Tickets: Adult $22 Youth $17
Doors open at 2:30pm. Bar available for drinks.
