Youth Theatre Camp

Join Denise Baughan, theatre artist and educator, for a three-day fun-filled theatre camp! Participants will explore improvisation, puppet making, and role-playing activities, all the while working on team building, creativity, and communication skills. The camp will take place in the Art Station theatre on Tuesday, August 8th - Thursday, August 10th from 10-3pm. The focus of this camp is having a great time while exploring the wonderful world of theatre. All experience levels welcome! Denise Baughan is an actress, director and educator who resides in Fernie, BC.

Originally from Ontario, she holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Windsor, and BEd from Vancouver Island University. Denise has had many opportunities to work as a performer, director, and educator. She is an advocate for the arts, and community outreach programs are one of her main priorities, as she believes it is important for art, theatre, and music to be accessible to all. Over the years, she has taught numerous youth and adult workshops, has performed professionally, and created many theatre events. Working as a teacher, she consistently has the chance to share her passion and love of theatre with her students. She looks forward to continuing to create theatre in the area and hopes to extend her passion into different areas of the Kootenays.
