Saskatoon Berry Pick for Charity

It's that time of the year again! For the third year, Fernie Distillers is creating a delicious Forager Saskatoon Liqueur with berries collected by Elk River Alliance (ERA) volunteers, with a portion of sales going to the ERA!

They're hosting a berry picking event next Tuesday (July 25th) from 5-8 PM, and meeting at the Disc Golf course in James White. If you feel like going out on your own, that's great!

Please wash the berries, freeze them, and bring them to the Elk River Alliance office (1111 2nd Ave). If you do choose to pick berries yourself, please ensure you are picking from municipal areas so as to not take away food from wildlife, and aid in deterring animals from coming into our parks. For each 100g you collect, you'll be entered into a draw for a bottle of the liqueur!
