Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi’it (Tobacco Plains Indian Band) is honouring Indigenous Peoples Day in a fun, culturally appropriate way to celebrate and recognize their Indigenous Roots, Culture and Identity.
The Day begins at 10am with a Roosville Border Walk, followed by lunch at the Administration Building, then dance demonstrations, traditional games, youth programs, cultural activities, door prizes and more. Vendors are welcome to setup a table for the day - space is limited and you must book by June 15, 2022.
This event is open to everyone to enjoy the festivities.
