By July 2022, the Elk Valley Ultra is in it’s 4th year (6th attempt), of their high-vert, challenging 50km, encompassing some of Fernie’s best trails and jaw dropping views, full of #FernieStoke…

2022 sees the NEW! route. Kicking things off with the iconic Leg 1 over Mt. Fernie to Island Lake Lodge; followed by a small breather, (of sorts), cruising the beautiful Provincial Park trails for Leg 2, ending at the base of Fernie Alpine Resort (FAR); before heading straight up, up, up for a jaw dropping and challenging Leg 3, ending back at FAR base. This new route is just as hard and just as beautiful as the original route – possibly even more so!

With over 2,898m of climbing and a whole lot of amazing Fernie single track, the route makes the Elk Valley Ultra a fun yet challenging race experience, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.

2022 registration will include a sweet Shirt from Giv’er Shirtworks, Post-Race food + beer from Fernie Brewing Co., Finishers Medal and top 3 category awards (<40, 40-59 & 60+) from Wild Wolves Design plus a whole lot of type 2 (~3) fun.
