Fernie Gravel Grind
Showcasing the greatest gravel in British Columbia!
The Fernie Gravel Grind (FGG) is a weekend-long gravel experience located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies; home to some of the best gravel riding that Canada has to offer. taking place September 17th-19th, 2021.
Over the course of the weekend, riders will race up picturesque mountain roads, experience the history-rich town of Fernie, British Columbia, and connect with a growing community of Canadian gravel cyclists. The FGG prioritizes supporting the local cycling community while contributing to British Columbia's rich history of cycling events.
Besides a weekend gravel experience, the FGG is an explicitly unique and welcoming organization that's known for everything gravel. The race itself is open to anyone and everyone and offers multiple distances, race categories and fun activities for the whole family, all weekend long.
The Fernie Gravel Grind occurs entirely within the traditional territories of the Ktunaxa people. We acknowledge their welcome and graciousness to all riders who seek adventure here. All bike types welcome, a cross-country mountain bike or gravel bike is recommended. Gravel racing in the Canadian Rockies requires at least 40c tires on gravel or mountain bikes. Road bikes will not be suitable for the conditions and are not permitted.

All participants will need a race license. Participants without a 2021 race license will be prompted to acquire a day-of license in registration.
