Art On The Lawn

Art On The Lawn is an opportunity for the public to experience local Fernie art, meet the artists and see them work! A truly unique experience as part of Chautauqua!

A wide variety of local artists will display their work for viewing and sale. Many of of them will demonstrate artistic techniques. There’ll be an activity for kids, too.

The following artists will be onsite during the event: Laura Nelson, Brianne Chisholm, Vanessa Croome, Gabriella Escobar, Michele Kremer and Brina Schenk as well as several artists from The Fernie Visual Arts Guild. Furthermore, artworks by Amanda Haugrud, Aidan Baines, Melanie MacVoy, Pru Harshan, Megan Haeusler, Judy Winter, Kathy Stead, Dorothy Sharp, Tyra Collombin, Pat Moore and Leanne Stothert will be on display.

In addition look for the WonderWalk installation, for which Fernie artist Brina Schenk has created a new series of original paintings that form a wonderful story for kids and adults alike.

And, if that wasn’t enough, author Amanda Truscott will be conducting a free workshop at 1:30 pm about how to follow the five steps of the creative process.
