10th Annual Reel Canadian Film Festival
10 years ago, inspired by the popularity of the Indie Films Fernie monthly screenings, a dedicated group of volunteers decided to plan a festival dedicated to the talent, skill and diversity of the Canadian Film Industry.
The Reel Canadian Film Festival is a weekend long event for Canadian Indie Films, hosted at the Vogue and Arts Station. All the films have a Canadian link, either the content, film makers, actors or writers. Each film is proceeded by a short film, linked thematically to the feature film. Of the five films screened over the weekend, a documentary, french film and aboriginal film is included. This year they are celebrating their 10th anniversary, and following a sold out year last year, they hope to fill the seats of the Vogue again this year.
- Friday January 26th: Friday night film and opening gala at the Arts Station
- Saturday January 27th: Little Reel’s Film Showcase, created by Fernie’s little Reelers (early afternoon), followed by two films (roughly 5pm and 7pm, TBC)
- Sunday January 28th: two films in the afternoon and early evening followed by a closing gala at the Vogue.
25 Early Bird Passes priced at $40 are available now. After they are sold, full price tickets will be $50 (or $45 to Arts Station members). Buy your festival pass here.
