Wine

Sometimes you don't know what you need inside your soul. That is, until you're yelling out lyrics to Robyn's Show Me Love circa 1997 while wine-drunk, and on your way to a pool overlooking a vineyard.

BC has some of the world's greatest wines, and we are lucky to have Fernie restaurants highlighting many on their wine lists. Here are the three menus that made the cut in 2017.

Gold:
Island Lake Lodge
Silver:
Nevados
Bronze:
Yamagoya

Jesse's first house was a simple house and one day over the fence her neighbour, Alfonso Elia, handed her some homegrown beans, even one time a bottle of wine. Leading to stories of wine creation and history.

Few things rival the satisfaction of sipping a glass of wine as snow falls slowly on a cold winter’s night. Perhaps you have a couple winter wine favourites you repurchase frequently. L’wren Farkas, Restaurant Manager at Island Lake Lodge and local wine connoisseur, suggests a few that may have previously flown under your radar. All of her picks are available off Fernie BCL’s shelves.

Island lake Lodge has partnered with Mark Simpson and the BC Wine Studio to create a very special custom blended sparkling wine (bubbles). Inspired by celebration and the natural elements that surround us, Bruin Brut has been custom blended for Island Lake Lodge.
