Meditation is the only tool for us to quiet our minds that is effective and long term. When we stop looking outside of ourselves to find inner peace, when we stop thinking its going to be the next relationship, the next job, the next purchase that's going to make us happy, we start looking within to seek solace.

Spend this weekend learning not to try to silence a mind that wants to go a hundred different directions simultaneously, but rather how to sit with and not attach to this chaos. Meditation opens us to each and every moment of our life.

As women, we think a lot about our hormones when it comes to both our first (puberty) and last (menopause) menses but we think a lot less about our hormones in between, even though this period makes up our entire reproductive lives. 

 The Turkish Get Up (TGU) is a movement that more people should be doing yet most don’t even know it exists and therefore, is often overlooked.

One year ago, my friend appeared on my doorstep in the darkness and told me she had cancer. She’d come from a routine check-up and driven alone from Calgary, afraid to say the words out loud and make them real. I have cancer. A phrase that sticks to your tongue and the inside of your mouth, thick and vile. 

Women have specific nutritional requirements that differ from men. Increasing the intake of foods containing high levels of female-friendly vitamins and minerals supports health and wellness. Making rounded, thoughtful dietary choices is a deeply nourishing form of self-care.

AromaFlōw at SOAR!

Each week they will have a focus that we will be addressing through our Asanas with the support of the oils to further invoke healing, mindfulness and growth inside and outside the body.

All levels welcome. Make sure you bring your glass or metal water bottle to fully experience these oils!

** This is a WARM class as the room is being heated for the Hot flow that follows, so dress lightly. Bring water.
 

Children need to find their own voice. This can be in terms of the choice of their own style in clothing, their favourite foods or in the way they like to move. Every child likes finding their own way of doing things, but it sometimes takes a while for them to do so. That being said, there a few ways that you can help your child in finding their own “movement voice.”
