Valentine's Day

Celebrate Valentine's Day with Fernie Distillers and catch the movie Sleepless in Seattle with a projector on a big screen.

They will also be offering a Charcueterie box from Fernie Catering/Pastryland, plus two Valentine's Day feature cocktails for $55 plus tax and gratuity.

In this workshop, participants will learn the steps involved in the pottery/ceramic technique called Sgraffito (literally means, in Italian, to scratch). Instructor Katy Drijber will discuss materials used for sgraffito, show participants ways to apply said materials, and demonstrate the technique of sgraffito. Image transfer techniques will also be discussed. Each participant will receive one large and one small pre-made tile (to be made into either coaster or wall-art piece, whichever they decide) to apply slip or underglaze to, and then paint/carve imagery of their choice.

A little bit different this year but still a lot of fun and excitement for the kids!

To ensure they are being COVID safe, instead of baked goods, the kids are spending the week crafting (cards, love bugs, jewelry etc) to sell on Friday, February 12th. To ensure health and safety for everyone the craft items will be displayed outside on a table by their entry way to the Max Turyk with a donation container.

All money raised will go to the charity of the kids choice.
