Riders purchase ‘hands’ at the trailhead and proceed in style to checkpoints where they receive ‘numbers’. Best hand at the finish line wins. Only riders on vintage sleds will have the chance to win an award. With that being said, all sleds are welcome to buy poker hands and join in on all the fun.

Weekend Plans? It’s Avalanche Awareness and Skidoo Demo Days at the Rolling Hills Cabin.

FREE Training, Demos, prizes, BBQ ($5 donation with proceeds going to Avalanche Canada). See you there!

Skidoo Demos are on a first come, first serve basis with escorted rides at 11, 12, 1, 2, and 3pm.

Elk Valley Snow Shepherds could not be more stoked to announce we have partnered with Pro-riders and Clinicians Stephanie Schwartz and Nadine Overwater to offer two full weekend of snowmobile coaching and skills development clinics to choose from this winter.

December 15 / 16, 2018 - All Inclusive private lodge based clinic with Stephanie Schwartz ($949)

March 16 / 17, 2019 - Non - Lodge Based with both Stephanie and Nadine Overwater ($599)

Discover proper riding techniques make sledding easy, like riding a bike.

Sleds are complex machines, but there are some simple adjustments you can make to really change your ride and step up your game. Bar height, suspension and ski pressure are a good place to start personalizing your ride.

Although sledding was not always a part of her life pre-stroke it has definitely become a way of life in the chapters that followed. It's inspired her to keep pushing and to help others feel inspired by a sport that can be so intimidating.

Join other Elk Valley Sledders for a family-friendly group ride to the FSA Cabin followed by a BBQ social. It's a great time to be in the mountains!
