Sunday Funday Mountain Bike Race at Fernie Alpine Resort

Join Fernie Alpine Resort for a casual and fun downhill mountain bike race modeled after their popular Thursday Night Race Series.

The race will take place at the end of the day at 4:30pm. Entry for the race is $5 and includes a post race beverage at Kelsey’s. Interested racers can register at the Adventure Centre in the main plaza on race day and must meet at the top of the course for 4:30pm for a racers briefing. Race course will be revealed closer to race day and will involve trail(s) on the mid to lower part of the Timber Side bike trails.

Come on out for the 3rd annual Fernie Bike Rave! Get your speakers, deck out your bikes. Meet at the Rotary Park Gazebo at 8:30pm.

Mountain Bike Camps designed by women for women! These camps are catered to beginner/intermediate riders and are led by qualified female instructors. Camps include skill session, bike maintenance, lift tickets, instructional trail rides and lunch.

Tour Divide 2017 Comes Through Fernie, BC

In the spring of 2010 a teacher-friend sent me a link to a documentary called Ride the Divide. It was available for viewing on YouTube as part of its release promotion. Out of curiosity, I clicked on the link while enjoying my morning coffee. And found myself in the same position, glued to the computer screen just under an hour and a half later, completely in awe of the people I met throughout.

Spring is a great time to get out for a hike or trail run. Please be mindful of potentially wet trails. A classic Fernie trail that tends to dry out early is Swine Flu. Many will be “green” with envy of the views you can take in at the top.
