There has been a palpable change in the air throughout 2018, taking place within the hearts of us all. A metamorphosis, a realization, a process that has needed to happen to allow an awakening of sorts.

You see, November is a gift. It’s an opportunity. 30 days, just for you to connect with yourself and those around you. To slow down the pace. To feel calm. It seems like a natural evolution this time of year.

It’s so easy to become complacent. Moving through each day, satisfied with what we have, what we’re doing, where we’re going. It’s simple, comfortable and helps us to avoid disappointment, avoid failure. But, what if?

This month's issue is the tie that binds this magazine, which is a direct reflection of community being so integral to our little mountain town.

This April, as we celebrate the beautiful Earth. Let’s see what kind of impact we can have in a day, in a month, in a year! I have a feeling it’s going to be amazing.

Being without Internet and cable at home our Editor started noticing how different she felt. Fantastic. Confident. Happy doing what I’m doing, when I’m doing it. Being present.

Albert, you were so right. While it’s important to make it simple, let’s not focus on simpler.

Our Editor reminds us to find ways to give back to my community or to those in need, working hard to be in the moment, enjoying what is happening right here, right now. As it truly is the most wonderful time of the year.

With this month’s issue about Gratitude, our Editor shares how we may not notice moments of gratitude in our life.
