This 4-class workshop is designed to teach up and coming Filmmakers ages 11-15 the basic steps to create a short film. Each student will direct, shoot, and edit a short 1-3 minute film that will be premiered on the big screen at the Little Reel Film Fest in January 2020.

Learn Ballet and Jazz technique and perform original dances on The Arts Station Main Stage to the music of Frozen 2, (In theatres November 22nd), choreographed just for our Frozen Dance Extravaganza. Includes a beautiful tutu, tiara and accessories.

Includes a lovely Frozen Inspired tutu created just for our Frozen Holiday Dance Extravaganza and gala Performance, a beautiful tiara, wand, and special surprise as well as a Cupcake Cast Party to wrap up the event.

The Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train will soon set out once again to entertain hundreds of thousands of people, celebrating 21 years of collecting food and raising funds for food banks across North America.

The CP Holiday Train program launched in 1999 and has since raised more than C$15.8 million and gathered 4.5 million pounds of food for communities along CP's routes in Canada and the United States. Every pound and dollar raised at each stop stays with the local food bank to help feed those in need in that community.

After the great success of last years Griz Kidz Halloween Party & Haunted House, it’s back!

Dress up your little monsters and join us for the 2nd Annual Griz Kidz Halloween Party & Haunted House on Sunday, October 27 from 12am – 4pm in the Day Lodge.

Join in on the main floor of the Day Lodge for ghoulish games, creepy-crawly crafts, enchanting activities and decorate a Halloween treat. Come dressed in your costume and take a family photo in our spooktacular photo booth. If you get hungry, we’ll have other twisted treats available for purchase.

Join the Fernie Heritage Library on Fridays from 1:00-3:00pm for a drop-in gathering for homeschool. Ms Anie will provide 30 minutes of stories, songs and activities and the remaining time can be spent enjoying a variety of activities and socializing together. Coffee will be on!

Help make Child Care visible in Fernie during the Federal Election!

Parents, grandparents, caregivers and littles meet at the Arts Station at 10am and join the march through town, past City Hall ending at Rotary Park raising awareness about how badly affordable, accessible childcare is needed here and all over Canada.

Supported by the Coalition of Child Care Advocates of BC, the Early Childhood Educators of BC and the Waitlisted Project.
