Kids Clay

Have your kids join our instructor Caroline in a fun afterschool clay workshop for kids age 8-12! In the first workshop kids will learn the basics of making pinch pots and handbuilding and then they will get to paint their creations. Their pieces will be fired so that they can be used and taken home.

Ages 12-14 are welcome to join the Fernie Heritage Library each Friday in Summer for the BC Summer Reading Club’s Tween Takeover. Cool crafts, games, and a tween book club! There will be a new activity every week, and participants are welcome to suggest different books or series to discuss and fan over. Tweens will also receieve a reading guide to make goals and track how much they read this summer.

Street Art Summer Camp

The Street Art workshop is an introduction to tagging and stencilling. You will learn the history of graffiti, discuss the legality and ethnical ways of this art form. You will create a tag for yourself, and learn how to make unique stencils that we will be using outside of the classroom.

We will not being using spray paint, but rather spray chalk to create a similar effect.
