Inside Architecture - Exploring Fernie’s Historical Interiors

Fernie’s historic buildings are well known for distinctive rooflines, unique locally-fired rose-gold brick and stone, and a variety of international influences. Only a few original interiors remain although many hints of the past can be seen in pressed tin ceilings, smoke-stained exposed brickwork and vintage windows.

Remembrance Day - Bells of Peace

This year marks 100 years since the end of World War 1. Please join us at the Legion to remember the men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. It is a day we encourage every individual, young and old, to pause, to give thanks and to remember.

Members and guests are welcome. This is also the one day of the year that children are allowed to be in the Legion.

10:40 am Parade to the Cenotaph - Legion Members, RCMP, 1st Responders, 3300 Club, City of Fernie, Cadets etc.

10:55 am Cenotaph service begins.

11:00 am 2-minute silence.

Could our pleasant streets hide an eerie truth, too terrible for the light of day?
