Cooking Classes are back for the Winter and this months class is being taught by Tanner Elliot. Tanner is a Red Seal chef having worked at many high end restaurants across Canada and holding a position on the team at Cirque Restaurant this Winter.

Everyone loves Italian food and knows all about Pizza & Pasta... but what about the fancier side of Italian??

The menu will include:

This shoulder season, take a moment to reflect on your food purchasing habits and their impact on environmental sustainability. If we all made more mindful choices about food, we would contribute positively towards the issues facing the industry.

This winter they will also have feature wine specials every week!

Every week they will rotate between Roast Beef, lemon thyme roast chicken and parsley/cranberry stuffed pork loin then there will either be Irish roast potatoes, roast red potatoes or creamy garlic mash and a selection of roast maple lemon yams, roast rosemary onions, honey carrots, roast beets and many more.. green peas/corn, bread rolls & red wine gravy!

The leaves are starting to turn and fall is definitely in the air. Island Lake Lodge's local farm partners are harvesting and their favourite beer company is putting out some seasonal favourites.

As we grow, we are taught there are “bad” foods, we shouldn’t surpass X daily calories, and diets are the fast-track to our goals. Intuitive eating aims to re-sync you with your body’s cues instead of listening to your mind that has been molded by varied opinions and media.
