Fernie's annual winter carnival is a multi-day festival of fun-filled family-friendly events, activities, and entertainment.

Wapiti Music Festival Society is cancelling the 10th Anniversary Wapiti Music Festival scheduled for August 7th and 8th in Fernie, BC. Due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic and in light of the statements of the Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry regarding not lifting the order against mass gatherings, the society has concluded that for the safety of all involved cancellation is necessary.

Light Up the Night Griz Parade will wind down 2nd Avenue - starting at 901 Fernie heading south to the Vogue Theatre. Featuring Project Fire Elf Shanese FV & Noah KC.

Right after the parade, head to Station Square for free, live entertainment with the Hip Flexors, playing at 7 and 9pm. At 5:30pm and 7:30pm, check out the always popular Rocky Mountain Lumberjack Show, and don't miss the Griz Days Fireworks at 8:30pm.

Teams of 4 plus a rider will careen down main street to beat out their competitors! Main street hasn’t seen action like this since the 1970s. You will have two chances to show your skills with two different sizes of beds, the fastest team will be crowned the winner! Beds are provided.
