The Old Type Music Society together with Fernie Distillers are hosting their first annual Gillbilly Open Mic Stage. The community is invited to stop in, enjoy some afternoon bluegrass and old time music and refreshment. Performers are participants of Gillbilly 2018 who are keen to pick their favourite tune or two, to a rapt crowd.

Everyone is invited to an afternoon old-time/bluegrass music jam at the Fernie Heritage Library! Jam hosted by the Old Type Music Society and participants of Gillbilly 2018. All are welcome to join in, listen, sing, hum, tap the afternoon away. Free event.

Fernie entered the First World War in 1914 with optimism and a sense of national pride. Five years later, it emerged having experienced staggering losses and multiple controversies that threatened to tear the community apart. Fernie was profoundly affected by conflicting impulses of labour, loyalty, and ethnicity.

Explore Fernie's architectural gems. 7 community buildings throughout Fernie’s Heritage District will be open to the public with displays about their history and efforts to preserve their heritage in many.

Doors Open is an international event that provides free and rare access to architecturally, historically, culturally and socially significant buildings. Fernie Doors Open is hosted by Heritage Fernie.

What The Junk Vintage Market brings vintage and antique sellers from across the Kootenay region to Fernie for our first ever Vintage Market. Located at Fernie City Hall as part of the 2018 Chautauqua and Fall Fair Heritage on the Lawn event!

The Fernie Chautauqua and Fall Fair is an annual fall festival celebrating local art, music, heritage, and cuisine.

This cultural extravaganza is hosted by the Fernie Museum, The Fernie Arts Station, Fernie Chamber of Commerce, Fernie Heritage Library and Wildsight.
