WHERE, WHEN & WHAT?:
– Unless otherwise stated, Work Parties generally take place Thursday’s at 6PM, meeting at the bike park tool shed (behind the Aquatic Centre).
– Wear sturdy footwear and come prepared for the weather. Bring work gloves if you have them.
– There will be refreshments at the end of the work party, but bringing water and a snack is a good idea.

Spring is in the air and you are probably eager to hit the trails! April can be a tricky month for weather in Fernie. The roads are a good option this time of year in Fernie or the South Country area. You can find some great options around Baynes Lake, Jaffray, Newgate and Fort Steele.

Event Date(s):
Tuesday, November 26, 2019
Time:
7pm

This Tuesday evening, join the Fernie Trails Alliance board and its member clubs to celebrate a fantastic season of riding, trail maintenance and development, partnerships and more. Elect the new members of the board. Help with their upcoming Strategic Planning sessions by taking part in a SWOT analysis. And enjoy light snacks, coffee, tea and a cash bar.

Our trails do not build themselves. It is only because of our strong community of passionate volunteers and contractors that we have the amazing trail network we have in Fernie.

Destination of the Month - Mushroom Head Figure 8
Distance: 12km
Time: ~ 1.5 hours, test it on Strava
Difficulty: Blue

In addition to our regular trail maintenance of our nearly 300 km of trail, the Fernie Trails Alliance has identified and committed to several large projects that will add value to our community, and help preserve the public trails we already love to inhabit. Each month I will showcase one of our projects and demonstrate the capacity of the Fernie Trails Alliance.
