Fernie Music Festival

This August 7 and 8, the tenth annual Wapiti Music Festival takes place in the Annex Park, alongisde the majestic Elk River in beautiful Fernie, BC. Each spring as the event approaches the air is thick with anticipation. Who will headline this year? How can it trump the epic live performances we've enjoyed in past (Black Pistol Fire anyone)? One thing is for sure, the team at Wapiti never disappoints and getting early bird tickets is always a no-brainer.

It may be March 1, and the snow is still flying but many of us have our eyes set on summer! A big part of summer in Fernie is Wapiti Music Festival. Voted Best Cultural Event in the 2018 Fernie Fix: Best of Fernie Survey, this event not only brings a variety of exciting Canadian music to our backyard, it creates such an energetic and positive vibe for all in attendance and most importantly, a strong sense of community.

The lineup for Wapiti’s second outing is, for the most part, set. It’s like the organizers took what worked last year and turned up the volume. It is sonically diverse and impressive. At just $45 per ticket, if purchased before August 1, the festival is money well spent.
