Please register online before the race, on webscorer. (Note: You must be an FMBC member to participate. Buy your membership online ahead of time.)

Pay with cash at the race $10 to race or $25 includes a T-shirt.

**NEW TIME** meet at the Island Lake gate at 5pm for registration. RACE STARTS AT 6pm.

Pizza, prizes and beer provided at the Elks Hall on 1st Ave after the race.

High Roller Mountain Bike Race

Fernie Mountain Bike Club's end of season epic poker ride. Ride all the trails or just a couple, go for the low or high roller. Collect stamps, get a poker hand, eat great food, drink beer, win prizes. Must be an FMBC member, no exceptions. You are gonna love the swag this year!!

Olympian Catharine Pendrel and National Team member Sandra Walter will be in Fernie to host a slide show and chat.

The slideshow will take place on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Vogue Theater in downtown Fernie. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:00pm

This special opportunity is by donation as we are asking if you can bring a non-perishable food item (or two, three etc) for the food bank.

Symbols of Spring

Spring comes late for the Elk Valley. Across the province, the snow receded months ago and summer flowers are beginning to bud. Here in our sub-alpine climate the long wait makes the eventual burst of colour and birdsong that bit sweeter. Ducklings at the Annex Pond, leaves unfurling on the trees, the receding snowline, the chickadee-dee-dee and the click-clack of bike cleats on the steps of the Brickhouse. What’s your favourite symbol of spring? For me it’s the daffodil.
