When you think of culture things like art, heritage and music might come to mind. In Fernie biking is actually also a huge part of our culture.

On May 27, 2019 the Fernie Trails Alliance (FTA) announced that a re-route is in the works for one of Fernie's popular trails, Swine Flu.

Back by popular demand, the Second Annual Fernie Junior Ripper Trail Passport is a series of skill/age appropriate mountain bike challenges. The goal is to ride the trail, find the checkpoint sign, and record the animal found on the sign on this worksheet.

As the Fernie Trails Alliance launches its new Fernie Trails Pass and website this spring, they wants trail users, visitors and residents alike, to understand what they do, the member clubs they represent, and how alongside land owners, they work together to ensure Fernie's trail network is the best it can be now and for the forseeable future.
