Special Griz Days programming at the Fernie Heritage Library!

Join for an all-ages, interactive hour of stories and slideshow featuring Fernie local author Terry Nelson. Terry will be telling stories inspired by his every day adventures living in the Elk Valley. The author's recent book "Fernie Area Hiking Trails and Natural Plant Compendium" will be available for purchase after the event (cash only).

Calling writers, bloggers, songwriters, journalers, editors, poets, playwrights and all creative-writing enthusiasts!
As part of our adult programming, the Fernie Heritage Library is starting a once a month writing group. A monthly theme will given in advance as well as an opportunity to share what you have written. This writers' group is an opportunity to get your creativity flowing, to build your circle of local wordy friends and to enjoy sharing in a community of home-grown talent. Drop-in, all are welcome.

Let's explore “A Snowy Day”(by Ezra Keats) outside in the Fernie Library garden. An interactive story experience for babies, preschoolers and their families.

Please dress to be outdoors! Hot chocolate provided after our storywalk. Please meet in the library garden at 11:15am and 2pm.

Want to be a part of a book club but can’t find your peeps:this night is for you! By request of so many of their patrons, they are delighted to offer you a night at the library to meet a few new book-loving people, choose a book and start a book club of your own!

Librarians will be standing by to provide information on book club sets, discussion guides, online book requests, holds and membership, Hot chocolate, tea and snacks provided.
