Snow falls slow and thick as we make our way into Fernie Distillers. What a lovely thing to do on a snowy day, I think. What a lovely way to kick off the holiday season.

As a singer-songwriter, Keith paints intricate portraits of the human condition with powerful melodic images, deep engaging guitar rhythms and husky, heart-wrenching vocals.

Keith Greeninger is a fourth generation Northern Californian. He has been enthusiastically received in Fernie previously and returns to perform two intimate shows at Fernie Distillers.

Breathing Lessons author Andy Sinclair will discuss his latest book with Fernie’s own Angie Abdou, in the new Fernie Distillery.

Breathing Lessons is a bold and explicit debut novel by one of the most visceral new voices in gay fiction. Of the book, Angie Abdou says "Readers will recognize themselves in these brave and daring scenes, even when they least want to.

The Old Type Music Society together with Fernie Distillers are hosting their first annual Gillbilly Open Mic Stage. The community is invited to stop in, enjoy some afternoon bluegrass and old time music and refreshment. Performers are participants of Gillbilly 2018 who are keen to pick their favourite tune or two, to a rapt crowd.

Fernie Distillers, operated by husband and wife duo Andrew Hayden and Jillian Rutherford, have been working hard and are in the final stages of renovating their location on 1st Avenue in downtown Fernie, BC.
