Local businesses impact all our lives everyday – whether we work for them or buy goods and services from them. Our local businesses are powered by people, and those people come from all walks of life and backgrounds.

Griz Days 2022 is only a few days away and the annual downtown parade is returning to the Fernie downtown core this Saturday afternoon, along with festivities in Station Square. We’re all pretty done with this pandemic, huh? Indubitably. It’s been a lot and has dragged on for way too long. One of the many things that have had to take a back seat in the interest of public safety these past two years is the traditional idea of networking and connection.

As we all ring in the new year, it’s the natural time to reflect on the year that was and the year ahead. For small business owners and managers, it’s usually a time of taking stock and planning for the new year with strategy, budgets, and all that fun stuff. It’s also a time we tend to set resolutions or goals for the year – both for our businesses, and ourselves.
