Tonight, the Catholic Churches in both Fernie and Sparwood will ring their bells at 7pm to show appriecation for all essential workers in our communities.

The iconic Catholic Church in Fernie has traditionally rung its bells to mark occasions such as weekly church services, weddings and funersl, but it has also used this community bell to mark occasions such as the end of World War II, the Olympic Torch passing through Fernie, and in 2018 the 100 year anniversary of the end of the Great War.
