Each Friday in May a new scavenger hunt will be posted online, with printed copies available at the Fernie Heritage Library. Complete all four to enter in the draw for a Spring-themed basket.

Make a delightful craft for someone special, in time for Mother’s Day.

There will be a curbside pack with materials and a fun tutorial on Zoom. Participants will need a valid Fernie Heritage Library card and a signed waiver. Ages 8-10. Maximum 8 participants.

Pick up a pack curbside and join the fun on Zoom or Facebook and Instagram Live. Registration is needed before picking up a pack, as there will be 20 packs available.

The Fernie Golf Club will be opening Friday, May 7th for the Summer Season.

Early Season Rates in Effect until May 24th. The Pro Shop is open daily from 10am to 7pm.

Thanks to a fantastic grant opportunity from the Columbia Basin Trust, the Fernie Trails Alliance is able to hire for five, temporary summer positions, to work on our 2021 Trail Maintenance Program.

ABOUT: The trail network in Fernie, BC is one of the biggest assets in our community. The FTA is looking to hire a motivated Trail Crew Supervisor, along with four Crew members, to work on the 2021 Trail Maintenance Program.

For most of the month, the Sun, Uranus, the Moon, Black Moon Lilith, Venus, Mercury, and the North Node are all travelling together in the sky in late degrees of Taurus and early degrees of Gemini, and Neptune travels in the sky with Pallas, the asteroid of wisdom.

Part of FYAN’s teen mental health and leaderships series, this interesting and engaging growth focused workshop will help teens learn to set healthy boundaries and give them the skills and tools to lean into hard conversations, be more assertive and authentically confident.

As always, yummy, healthy snacks will be provided. This event is free and open to Seniors: Ages 16+ (grades 10+). Register online here.

Toddlertime is for ages 0-2 every Wednesday, that you can join from your own home! Due to Covid-19 and provincial restrictions the Fernie Heritage Library's Toddlertime is now VIRTUAL and can be viewed on their FacebookInstagram, and YouTube.

The Senior Citizens Club of Fernie & District, or the Seniors Centre, is one of those places that you just assume was always there; that building tucked behind Mugshots and across from City Hall. More than just a facility, the Seniors Centre is  a gathering place for people of all ages, a place for exercise and games, a homemade meal, learning and sharing, and a fair bit of dancing at the Christmas party.
