Noted activist, theologian, author, documentary filmmaker, and musician, Reverend Osagyefo Sekou was born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in the rural Arkansas Delta. Rev. Sekou’s music is an unique combination of North Mississippi Hill Country Music, Arkansas Delta Blues, Memphis Soul and Pentecostal steel guitar. Join Rev at this Wednesday concert together with the Dimpker Brothers.

Join Sue Hanlon for a social evening of painting.

Sue will guide you through a painting step by step for 2 hours. Beginners are most welcome! She will be supplying all of the materials and instruction. We’re putting the fun back into painting as we concentrate on the process on the way to a finished product!

For attendees of the previous workshop, we will be working on a new painting with the theme of 'Summer Daisy', so you are very welcome to come for a second time!

Deep Down Yonder is a multi instrumentalist/Producer who combines live instruments such as five string banjo, guitar, bass, dobro and harmonica with homemade electronic beats, samples, and synth pads. His sound is a whole new style of danceable, multi-layered, renegade electro-mountain music that blends genres and walks the line between country, funk, and psychedelic four on the floor house.

Freak Motif was born when a group of strangers picked up their instruments and went parading through downtown Calgary. Sharing a love of improvised music, funk, soul, disco, afrobeat, and reggae, their coming together sparked a movement which has evolved into an 8-piece dance party.

They have a drinks tent serving Fernie Brewing Co., Lonetree cider and wine + a kids corner with free crafts, food trucks and more! A great place to meet your friends, soak up some afternoon sun and listen to awesome live music.

The Wednesday Concert Series, or Wednesday Socials as they are known locally, happen every Wednesday throughout July and August, popping up in Station Square as a free, community concert.
