family fun

If you’re visiting Fernie with your family, you will be happily surprised to find the number of amenities available here for the younger cohort (and also those young at heart). As the number of families continues to grow, so does the programming, facilities and events geared to this market. Here are our top ten for you to explore this winter!

Celebrate some Holiday Cheer as Fernie Alpine Resort welcomes Santa to the slopes! Get out and ski a couple of turns with the man in the big red suit in the morning and then get your picture taken with Santa in the daylodge in the afternoon. Get a traditional picture with Santa or try out our new Santa Photo Booth! No need to bring your camera, Santa’s little helpers will email the photos to you FREE of charge!

One thing about Fernie is how easy it is to choose how social you want to be without needing to make plans. You can turn up to free gallery openings, participate in group bike rides, sign up for workshops or join a regular yoga class and be surrounded by friends and friendly faces, all ready to chat and maybe grab a coffee or a beer afterwards.
