Fernie’s contingent of families has been on the rise in recent years, and with it has come an amazing array of programming and events specific to kids and families. This provides a great resource not just for those residing here, but those visiting.

Lantern Craft & Caroling by Candlelight at The Arts Station

3:00pm - 5:00pm

Join the Arts Station from 3 - 5pm for family lantern crafting session.

Totally free, all materials provided, just drop in. Lead by Rachel Butterworth. Lanterns can be taken home afterwards. Suitable for ages 3+, families must stay with their children. Then, get the whole family and join us on the deck to hold your lanterns and sing songs with Rachel.

5:30pm on the deck at the Arts Station. Rachel to lead the signing with a crew of singers and music! Traditional and modern holidays songs. All ages welcome.

Free hot chocolates! Generously donated by Starbucks Fernie.

Family NYE Celebration at Fernie Alpine Resort

Time:

Bring the family down and enjoy a number of free family activities in the base area from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Activities include arts and crafts, photo booth and more. The night culminates with a NYE fireworks display on the Mighty Moose at 9pm. All activities are FREE of charge.

Please note that this is NOT a supervised event – resort staff will be on hand to assist with activities but parents are asked to remain with their children. If parents are looking for a supervised event they should register for the Griz Kidz NYE Party.

17th Annual Santa Claus Breakfast at Park Place Lodge

Park Place Lodge is pleased to announce that they will be hosting a special visit from Old Saint Nick on Sunday, December 3^rd from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm in Max Restaurant & the Fireside Room.

The Breakfast Buffet will run from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, featuring a variety of delicious items including Pastries, Fresh Fruit, Scrambled Eggs, Hash Browns, Bacon, Sausages, Fruit Juice, Cold Cereals, and a Deluxe Pancake Station with Buttermilk Pancakes. The cost for the Buffet will be $17 for Adults, $12 for Youth & Senior (10-14) and only $3 for Children (9 and under).
