Easter Weekend at Fernie Alpine Resort

The Easter Bunny is making a special visit to Ferine Alpine Resort and has a TON of chocolates and candies to give out! Participate in their Easter Egg Hunt or their Easter Egg Jar guessing game to score some awesome treats. Visit the Easter Bunny in the plaza to get your photo with our big, furry friend and learn about how to participate in their activities.

The way local governments tax for services is a flawed model, in my opinion, it puts local governments in a position that makes it hard for us to be a winner. One of the largest misconceptions is that the tax you pay goes entirely into our municipal budget.

Earth Day Community Clean Up: Pick Up For A Plant & Our Planet

With the largest civic observance in the world, Earth Day attracts over 1 billion people yearly who are dedicated to furthering climate action. The Fernie Heritage Library (FHL) are some of those people.

Last year FHL fulfilled their goal to build an eyesore of trash in their parking lot, thanks to our climate conscious community! This year they're back at it with support from Elk Valley Wildsight, Fernie Home Hardware, Teck, Patti's Party Rentals, and DJ Jay Ray.

Fernie Alpine Resort is excited to be celebrating 60 years of legendary experiences, powder days and après!

RDEK Launches Program to Support Heat Pump Retrofits in Electoral Areas

Once again, Fernie’s most fabulous Drag Queens and Kings hit the slopes to shine a rhinestoned spotlight on suicide in the Elk Valley. Last year, with the support of the Fernie Alpine Resort and Fernie PRIDE, our Drag Stars raised over $10,000 for the Elk Valley Suicide Task Force to create a Grief Support for friends and families dealing in the wake of suicide.
