Learn to Crochet

Join Chloe Roberts to learn the basics of crochet. Chloe will teach basic stitches that will set you up for different crochet projects in your future. Crochet hooks and yarn will be provided for the class. You are welcome to bring your own if you have, any size will work. No experience required.

Meet at the exercise equipment. From there you can decide whether to watch the bike park, the splash park or the skateboard park. Some quick figure studies can be done there.

Musician Saturdays: Anita Roloff

Untamed and Ali Cat Arts

Emma Stevens is the owner of Untamed, a clothing company in beautiful Fernie, creating flattering and wearable art.

“I got tired of not finding anything cool, flattering, and long to wear with tights,” says Emma. “So, I started making and designing everything myself out of super soft bamboo fabric, and yes! They all have pockets. My creations are for busy women who want it all - comfort, convenience, and to look and feel good. We deserve it!”

In my school days I was never a drama kid, or a team sports kid (aside from one year where I fumbled my way onto the badminton team). Mostly I drifted through high school unnoticed without really feeling connected to anyone in it. I found my ‘people’ much later in life, but it certainly would have been nice to kickstart that feeling of belonging in my high school years.

Join Denise Baughan, theatre artist and educator, for a three-day fun-filled theatre camp! Participants will explore improvisation, puppet making, and role-playing activities, all the while working on team building, creativity, and communication skills. The camp will take place in the Art Station theatre on Tuesday, August 8th - Thursday, August 10th from 10-3pm. The focus of this camp is having a great time while exploring the wonderful world of theatre. All experience levels welcome! Denise Baughan is an actress, director and educator who resides in Fernie, BC.
