On International Women's Day residents of Fernie will walk in solidarity with survivors of domestic and sexualized violence from the Arts Station to the Courthouse and back in Fernie, BC. They will follow up with refreshments and a performance by the Hark Raving Sirens at the Arts Station.

The Arts Station's Wednesday Concerts Series are set to return this summer and the Christ Church Anglican hosts a a veteran touring duo, for a fundraising music concert.

Have you been wanting to try your hand at the potter’s wheel? Are looking to hone your skills? With a max of 5 students, this two day class provides you with ample opportunity to practice your throwing skills. Ideal for beginners or those with some experience, we will go through the basics of throwing basic vessels and trimming pottery while trouble shooting any individual challenges that may arise. Clay purchase is required for non-guild members while members may use their own.

Instructor Leah W. Wilson of Amazing Felted Fibre Arts from Kootenay Lake, BC. Offering the insight of 10 years needle felting experiences, and the entertaining ability teach this new, relaxing & exhilarating medium for creativity. All materials & printed instructions provided (includes a starter ball, safety sponge, 2 needles, and enough wool to make another penguin at home).
