The Emily Brydon Youth Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides financial support to youth in the Elk Valley to pursue their dreams in programing involving sports, education or the arts, is now accepting applications for the winter season.

"We know that this is a difficult time for many families and we want people to know that the EBYF is here to help in any way we can within our mandate," said Emily Brydon, founder of EBYF. "After a slow summer, we are looking forward to sports and activities picking up. More opportunities are opening up so we encourage people to enroll in programs, and if needed, apply for funding."

The EBYF is also excited to launch its first virtual fundraiser this October, which will help to support the ambitious budget the board approved for this coming year. "We foresaw the imminent need in the valley during this pandemic, and want to ensure that families feel supported and that youth get access to the activities and programs they need and want," Emily added. "The fundraiser will take place on our website and will be run over multiple weeks leading up to Christmas."
