Local woodworker Chad Schuett is pleased to announce the launch of his new business, True Axe Timber Crafts. Specializing in traditional timber frame joinery, Chad creates unique, hand-crafted furniture, outdoor living structures and architectural features for your mountain home. Working with the client’s needs close in mind, each piece is one-of-a-kind and designed to fit individual tastes and spaces.
In respect for our forests, Chad tries to source out locally harvested and milled timber, usually Douglas Fir, as well as reclaimed wood from local buildings which adds character and historical significance to your project. Whenever possible, he uses environmentally sound finishes such as Landark and Lifetime. You’ll find him in his workshop in the Elk River Mountain Homes building, beside the Fernie Brewing Co. Chad looks forward to working with you to turn your creative idea into a beautiful, quality piece that can be enjoyed for generations. – www.trueaxe.ca
