October 2019 New Business
Elk Valley Chronic Pain Program
The East Kootenay Division of Family Practice works to continuously drive better, more integrated, more effective primary care in the region. Thanks to Shared Care’s financial support, the Division is currently running the Chronic Pain Program to improve chronic pain care in the Elk Valley.
The program’s main objectives are:
- Help patients live better with their pain
- Improve local health care provider knowledge regarding chronic pain
- Create local supportive networks of providers and patients
- Create a local provider team specialized in chronic pain
Starting in October 2019, several workshops for providers and people suffering from chronic pain are going to be held in Fernie.
If you are interested in learning more about the Chronic Pain Program, ask your family doctor or send an email to Anne-Charlotte, the project lead: firstname.lastname@example.org.
