Elk Valley Bulls Rugby Club

Established two years ago, won the Provincial Championship the weekend of September 13/14 successfully defending the Saratoga Cup.

Normally the competition consists of four teams who won their respective leagues throughout the province: The Kootenays, Okanagan, Northern BC and Vancouver. Unfortunately, the team from Vancouver (the KATS), had to pull out which left the Penticton Harlequins, Williams Lake and the Elk Valley Bulls to play each other in a round-robin style event.

The Bulls travelled with a strong squad of 23 players, 13 of which were returning players from the team that won the previous year. The Bulls defeated Williams Lake with a dramatic penalty kick, final score 10-8 for the Bulls. Congratulations!
