Christa Moffat has been helping Elk Valley clients achieve their marketing goals for close to ten years. Her knowledge of regional and national media, social networking, event coordination and ability to work closely with designers makes her an asset to any business. If you are looking to create a brochure, any marketing material, update an existing website or create a new one, Christa also offers technical writing and works with both Drupal and Word Press sites.
“Writing clear, concise and interesting content is as important as the design aspects of any marketing piece,” says Moffat. “I work with a number of designers in Fernie and enjoy the collaboration aspect of this work.” For more information or to contact Christa, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call her directly.
Fernie Tears & Gears, www.fernietearsandgears.com
The third annual Fernie Tears & Gears was another successful event, with 138 competitors, 30 amazing volunteers, generous community sponsors, and an additional Enduro category. New this year, T&G collaborated with the Fernie Trails Alliance and provided the organization with a $5/racer contribution - a total of $690 going right back to our trail system. Also, T&G donated $250 to Fernei Search and Rescue for their continual support.
Race organizers Abi Moore and Krista Turcasso would like to thank everyone involved for supporting this community event, and are already looking forward to next year! Of course, first there's the Tears & Gears Winter Wheezer! Get your snowshoes and nordic skis ready for a fun February 2, 2013 event, great for all ages.
The Guide’s Hut and DID Ltd.
The Guide's Hut has teamed up with DID ltd. in a new project, inviting artists to create a custom “Elk Valley” design to be used on a ski/board top sheet, with the actual piece pressed within the ski/board to produce a functional, truly unique work of art. The skis will then be showcased at the Fernie Ski and Snowboard Festival on November 24, 2012 at the Fernie Community Centre.
The voting format is people's choice done through ballots at the Community Centre, Guide's Hut and through Facebook.
The winning artist will be announced after a week of voting and will receive a free day of catskiing at Island Lake. A free pair of custom skis/board and goodies from the Guide's Hut will also be awarded to the voting public.
Thus far the contest features artists Patrick Markle, Brina L Schenk, Michael Hepher and Mark Kowalchuck.
For more details, visit the Guide's Hut or contact the ski shaper JV@didcustom.com.
