The Reel Canadian Film Society strives to present thought-provoking independent movies in the current film circuit that showcase the talent and diversity of the Canadian film industry. This year, faced with an exceptional selection, they chose to procure six instead of the usual five films, and are excited to share this incredible line-up with fellow film lovers.

The Festival kicks off with the opening reception at The Central. Then head next door to the theatre for I’m Just Here for the Riot (documentary) followed by Industry Q&A with producer James Brown. Capping off the evening is Vampire humaniste cherche suicidaire consentant (horror/comedy). Saturday night features Suze (comedy/drama) and Quebec film Richelieu (social drama). Sunday opens with Local Reels (stay tuned for more details), followed by Aitamaako’tamisskapi Natosi: Before the Sun (feature documentary), the closing reception, and the final feature film, The Braid (Drama).
