Fernie Trails Alliance,
The Fernie Trails Alliance (FTA) would like to thank the organizers of the Furious 3, for their generous donation totalling $8000. FTA’s focus with this money is to fix any wear and tear on the trails from the event, and additionally shield trails prior to upcoming events so they can handle higher traffic.

The Furious 3 recognizes the significance of the FTA and its member groups –the Fernie Mountain Bike Club, the Fernie Trails and Ski Touring Club, and the Fernie Nordic Society- and is pleased that the donation will cover not only the maintenance cost of the trails, but contribute additionally to member clubs within the Trail Alliance.

Indigo Spa
Indigo Spa recently expanded into the area that was formerly Re/Max’s downtown location to serve clients better. The spa now features a spacious waiting room, six treatment rooms and four pedicure chairs. New staff have joined the team including Amore Swart from Beautiful Reasons who offers lash extensions, spray tanning and full esthetic services. The spa also welcomes Lisa Klassen (for relaxation massage services), Rebecca Gawryluk (esthetics) and Lisa Giudici who brings a hydromassage bed, stand-up tanning bed and oxygen therapy.

Cathy Morris is taking a working holiday to experience life in another ski town - Whistler! She will be away from December to the end of April and welcomes Kristen Miller and Vanessa Avery to her practice while she’s away.

Kristen has been a licensed massage practitioner since 2002 after completing a two year, 2200 hour Massage Therapy course focused on effective techniques to treat acute/chronic conditions, postural and injury assessment as well as general wellness massage to reduce tension and stress. Vanessa has been a massage therapist for over nine years, and specializes in deep tissue, relaxation and pre/post natal massage. Vanessa manages the spa at Island Lake and is looking forward to a new experience treating in town.
