City of Fernie Intends to Partner with Tunnel 49 Adventure Inc. for a Municipal Service

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Council of the City of Fernie intends to enter into a partnering agreement pursuant to S. 21 of the Community Charter, the terms of which would provide assistance to Tunnel 49 Adventure Inc. for the provision of a municipal service, being the operation of City of Fernie owned buses for a Summer Visitor Shuttle Service from July 14, 2023 through September 30, 2023. The consideration to be received by the City for the proposed use of the two buses to provide the Service is $10.00 per month plus Goods and Services Tax and Provincial Sales Tax, as applicable. Tunnel 49 Adventure Inc. shall be responsible for certain operating and maintenance costs and will be entitled to any operational surplus and responsible for any loss arising from the operation of the service.

Council is considering the provision of this service through the Partnering Agreement on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at the Regular Meeting of Council.

This notice is being given in accordance with Section 94 of the Community Charter.
