Creative Minds Preschool, 250-423-1144
Creative Minds preschool is pleased to be offering a French Immersion class for September 2012 as part of its expansion. This is in part thanks to an alliance with the Southern Rockies' new francophone association. This Monday-Wednesday-Friday afternoon class is open to children who are three and four years old in 2012. No prior exposure to French is needed, just a willingness to increase your child's savoir-faire (and even learn how to say it!).

Applications are still being accepted for teachers in this exciting new program as well. For information, to register, or to apply for the teaching positions, please contact director Heather Skaien at,, call the school directly or visit their website.

The Community Award is a program that allows EKC to award deserving groups that are innovative and exciting, self-sustaining over the long term, create a lasting legacy in the community and support the social, economic or environmental well-being of the community.

The four finalists will be presenting their projects at local branches of the EKCCU, where members can vote for their favourite projects April 10-14. The Fernie winner will be announced April 17.
