B2 Body Beauty would like to welcome Lindsay Reynolds to its team. Lindsay moved to Fernie in 2008 from Oakville, Ontario. Soon after her move, she fell in love with the community and lifestyle that Fernie had to offer and knew this was where she wanted to call home. She decided to pursue a career in Esthetics. Having the chance to work in a spa in a ski town was the perfect fit for her.

Lindsay graduated at the top of her class from the Aveda Institute Victoria in 2011 and has been practicing Esthetics in Fernie ever since. She will be offering facial, manicure, pedicure and specialty waxing services to her clients. For the month of August all treatments booked with Lindsay will be 10% off. The Fernie Historical Society is celebrating five years of planning, consulting, fundraising and untold hours of physical labour coming to fruition with the grand opening of the Fernie Museum. To honour the community’s hard work and dedication to the creation of a museum a special day-long celebration will take place Saturday, September 28.

“We are incredibly happy about the completion of the Fernie Museum Project. We are proud of what we have achieved over the past five years. We want to celebrate with the community who helped make this happen,” says past Museum President Laura Nelson.

The day’s activities include a Heritage Tea with three sittings at 10:30am, 12:30pm, and 2:30pm, featuring local musicians, local fare and colorful characters from Fernie’s past. Limited $15 tickets will be available at the end of August at the Fernie Museum. The Community Celebration follows at 4:30pm and will include a slide show and cake. They invite all to enjoy them in celebrating this momentous occasion.
