Fernie Heritage Trust Society

The Fernie Heritage Trust Society (FHTS) is a new non-profit formed to save the historic Knox United Church building as a community resource. FHTS is transforming the facility into a performing arts and multi-purpose community space.
FHTS purchased the building in December and is now ready to accept bookings and rentals. The building has a secular performance space with superb acoustics and a capacity for audiences of 196. The lower level is a multi-purpose space with ample room for 175 people to meet (and perhaps dine with the full kitchen facilities).
Non-profit and community groups are eligible for discounted rental rates. FHTS anticipates that the building will be in demand for weddings and corporate events. For details, visit fernieheritagetrust.ca.
As the society grows, FHTS intends to program and host cultural events as well. Contact Kevin at fernieheritagetrust@gmail.com for more information about the building and how to get involved.
