Vogue Theatre Re-Opens in Fernie, BC

The Vogue Theatre Djonlich family, as featured in Kootenay Business Magazine, August 2018.
The Vogue Theatre has been closed since March 16, a decision many businesses made early on in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. With no end in site and looking to support their community, owners Roxana and Dennis Djonlich and their amazing staff were looking for creative ways to support their community and bring smiles to movie-going fans. The Popcorn Fairy was born, and the popularity surprising. Hundreds of residents in Fernie, Sparwood and Elkford signed up for the delivery of 4 medium popcorns and 2 large candies for their own, in-house family movie night! And the Vogue Theatre was thrilled, while also slightly overwhelmed.
July 7, the "soon to be retired Popcorn Fairy" announced that the theatre would be open July 24, with a new line-up of already released movies until new content was available... who isn't up to seeing ET and/or JAWS on the big screen?! For just $5, enjoy a 3pm matinee or 7pm show Friday - Sunday, or 7pm any night of the week.
"We are excited for this Friday! Please note we will be selling tickets when doors open on a first come first serve basis. Come early because we have limited capacity in our lobby due to social distancing. Doors open at 2pm for matinee and 6pm for evening show."
Thanks, Rox and Dennis. Now, Let's Go to the Movies!
